Trivialities like “Trust me, I’m a poet”

…Not that I’m saying that renown or recognition equates to merit. On the contrary, as Socrates affirms in Plato’s Apology: the truly wise are those with the paltriest reputation. That being said, the only bona fide assurance I can give you about my worldly merit as a poet is the following award:
